Light houses are magical things that create a spark of both wonder and joy to those that appreciate them. On one hand they represent nature allowing us to escape the bustles of city life and soak in some quality time on the fringe, enjoying the solace of both the sea and land, while providing the necessary beacon on light to ships at sea eager to land on terra firma. On the other hand light houses can be quite lonely depending on where they are located, and history has given us many a books and journals written by light house keepers that can go weeks or months without seeing a soul. Below are a collection of beautiful but isolated lighthouses around the world.
